November 23, 2020 - Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, Head of the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control had an inspection session on pandemic prevention and control in Long An province. TWG Long An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, a member of the Technical World Healthcare Joint Stock Company (TWG+) is one of the locations that the delegation of the Deputy Prime Minister visited.

The representative of the TWG Long An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital reported to the delegation about the operation status since the hospital was officially operated more than three months ago. In particular, the report was also emphasized that disease prevention and control in the hospital have been implemented closely according to the guidelines from the Department of Health and the Directors of Long An province.

Through actual inspection and listening to reports, the Deputy Prime Minister highly praised the hospital in term of strict implementation of the regulations on pandemic prevention, especially practicing the hospital Covid-19 safety criteria through various approaches included promoting on online media and internal communication mediums, instructing patients and relatives to make medical reports and wear bracelets for screening right from the gate before entering the hospital, wearing a mask, equipping with hand sanitizer,…
It is important that the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized: “The local department of health and hospitals need to pay more attention to medical check-ups and to perform SARS-CoV-2 testing for medical staffs - the doctors, nurses at the frontline, who have contact with patients in the Emergency Department, Anti-Poison Recovery...”.
The Deputy Prime Minister listened to the report on pandemic prevention and encouraged the hospital to continue promoting its achievements
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized: "Health facilities need to self-assess the level of pandemic safety, not for reporting, but really actively update and coordinate closely with various departments to fight against pandemic.”

According to the report of the People's Committee of Long An province, the province so far has not recorded any cases of Covid-19. The number of quarantine cases was more than 6,000 cases, of which concentrated isolation was more than 1,500 cases in 7 quarantine zones, out of 18 available zones in the province.
